Share with Teacher

Share your Google Sheet directly with your teacher so they can view your word collection.

  1. Open your Google Sheet (the one you set up for Wordbank in your Google drive). Do not share your Google Apps Script Web App URL.
  2. Click the Share button (top right, blue button).
  3. Enter your teacher's email address.
  4. Set their access to Viewer so they can read but not edit.
  5. Click Send.

Your teacher will receive an email link to view your wordbank.

Teacher View

Class Google Sheet Manager

This section is for teachers only. Add your students' names, classes and their Google Sheet links here so you can quickly access their wordbanks in one place.

Getting Started

  • Ask each student to open their Google Sheet directly (not the app) and share the URL with you with at least Viewer access.
  • Option A — One by one: Click + Add Student, fill in name, class and paste the sheet link.
  • Option B — Bulk import: Prepare a CSV with 3 columns: Name, Class, Google Sheet URL — one student per row — then click Upload CSV.
  • Class is compulsory in the CSV — rows without a class will be skipped.
  • Download the sample template from the CSV section in the info card to get started.

Viewing Student Sheets

  • Click Open Sheet on any student row — their Google Sheet opens in a new tab.
  • You must be signed in to your Google account in the browser to view the sheet.
  • On iPhone/iPad: go to Settings → Safari and turn off Block Pop-ups to allow sheets to open.
  • If access is denied, ask the student to re-share the sheet with your Google account email.

Backup & Restore

  • Data is saved on this device only — it is not synced to the cloud.
  • Use Export JSON regularly to save a backup file to your device.
  • Use Import JSON to restore your roster on a new device or after clearing the browser.
  • Use Export PDF to print a class list with all sheet links.
  • Delete All permanently clears the entire roster — always export a JSON backup first.
Student data is saved on this device only. Use Export JSON to back up and restore on another device.
